Travel Writing & photography

Last year I travelled to Europe for two months to capture images of a continent in the grip of a heatwave. A love of Spain and Moorish architecture and a desire to visit the home of Sherry led to a fascinating few days in Jerez de la Frontera. A visit to Bodegas González Byass and The Royal Andalusian School of Equestrian Art. Below are a small excerpt and a link to the article featured in NZ Life & Leisure magazine

A bout of heat-induced delirium has hit Spain. The temperature is above 40 degrees Celsius, and only “poco loco” folk are out in the afternoon sun. From the window of the train from Seville to Jerez, olive trees dance in the shimmering heat. A solitary farmer driving his tractor through the arid fields leaves a trail of golden dust.
